Setup times: 8:00 am to 9:45 am. Aerobuses 8:00 am - 8:30 am if you want to be inside air conditioned hall. We need to put you in first for maneuvering purposes. Otherwise you'll be outside on grass.
Open to public: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Cost to club: $50 out of our treasury
Cost to you: No charge
Required: Large cardboard under ALL cars - leaks or not.
Suggested: Make a display board with info about your Checker. Minimum info would be the year, style, and engine size. Better would be pictures of restoration if one has been done - or its history, if you know it - or ???, use your imagination. These displays can be used year after year. Remember that the public who see our cars will be varied year after year so even though other members have seen your display before, to the public it will all be new.
Directions: See map. Look for the square that is along the vertical strip of parking, north of the main parking. Just to the north of the building is a gate in the fence. This is where you drive in to the building. If, like me, you are coming in a non-Checker, park in the parking lot and you can still walk in at this entrance. Checker Club members do not have to pay Arboretum admission if you come in this entrance.
Lunch: There is a kitchen, so you may bring some lunch and refrigerate it. You need to bring your own utensils etc. Across the street, about ½ mile walking distance, is Fashion Park which has a food court, although we prefer that everyone doesn't go at the same time.
Meeting: About 1pm there will be a short meeting to conduct any business - cookies and punch will be provided.
Other: You may bring things to sell or trade among ourselves. No sales to public is allowed unless you have a business setup, collect and pay taxes, and give 10% of sales to Arboretum.
